Impact Of Technological Changes On Access To Employment In Tunisia

Author

Sirine Mnif

Our work focuses on the theory of Skill Biased Technological Change and the assumption of complementarity between capital and skilled labor. The objective of this work is to clarify the relationship between Technological Changes and inequality either income or access to employment. In particular, we tried to analyze the effects of the diffusion of innovations on the inequality of access to employment. The empirical validation of this work is based on the technique of Ordinary Least Squares (OLS). Our model tests the impact of Technological Change and the capital on demand of skilled labor. A positive relationship between innovation and demand for skilled labor seems to be confirmed for Tunisia. Also, complementarity between capital and skilled labor or between the technologies and skills seems to still be confirmed for Tunisia.
