The mesh less Explicit MPS (E-MPS) method has been found to be subject to instability, especially at the surface due to pressure boundary condition for free surface particles. A collision model has been implemented which has helped to reduce the instability of surface particles. Calculation of benchmark flow of collapsing water column is used as test case and comparison with results before implementation is done to illustrate the need of the collision model. The results obtained by using collision model are found to be in good agreement with experimental results.
