In the present study, larval mortality of Meloidogyne incognita was controlled by using different solvents of Ipomea carnea leaf extract. Root-knot nematode populations were controlled by I. carnea. Among those extracts, ethanolic extract exhibited more mortality 13.33, 36.67, 53.33, 66.67, 86.37; Acetone extract exhibited moderate mortality 6.67, 23.33, 30.00, 43.00, 63.67 and 66.67 and Aqueous extract exhibited less mortality 3.33, 16.67, 30.00, 30.33, 43.33 and 53.33 in 10, 30, 50, 70, 90 and 100 respectively after 72 hrs exposure. In the order of Aqueous < Acetone< Ethanol extracts shows the result in control the root-knot nematode larval mortality. In I. carnea extract, the secondary metabolites were analysed by using spectrometer and HPLC analysis. The present study revealed that ethanolic extracts of I. carnea was found to be most effective in an increasing larval mortality.
