This paper presents an extract of the findings of a broader research which sought to establish the strategic management challenges faced by small and medium scale enterprises in Harare. This component of the research aimed at establishing the nature of support services offered by different stakeholders in the Zimbabwean economy towards the promotion of strategic management in SMEs. Views and observations from entrepreneurs and targeted stakeholders are presented, with a brief description of the nature of support services and value addition associated with them. The paper ends with recommended areas for support as established from interviews with entrepreneurs as well as implications to Government policies and stakeholder interventions.
