Climate Change And Urban Transportation In Nigeria

Global climate change has attracted substantial prominence in recent times. Both the developed and developing nations of the world are suffering from this phenomenon in varying degrees and will continue to suffer from it if nothing is done about it. This paper examines climate change and urban transportation in Nigeria. The role, implications and management of climate change was considered. The study made use of primary data and information was collected from textbooks, research reports, internet, newspaper and library. Unfortunately, the developing countries, Nigeria inclusive are arguably one of the most vulnerable countries that will be affected by climate change. It is receiving little or no attention in the country .There is need to view climate change as a very serious issue that needs urgent attention and join other countries in their efforts at reducing its impacts.
