Synthesis And Charactrization Of Reduced Graphene Via Chemical Root

The  material  known  as  Graphene  is  a  recently  discovered  allotrope  of  unique  carbon materials having a single layer of carbon atoms arranged  in a two dimensional hexagonal structure. Graphene exhibits incredible mechanical, thermal and electronic properties. It is a fascinating  material  for  electronics,  capacitor,  composites,  energy  storage,  transparent electrodes,  solar cells, water filtration, biomedical  and  sensing  applications. Initially Graphene oxide was synthesized by oxidation of graphite powder using KMnO4, NaNO3, H2SO4 and H2O2. Finally graphene oxide was reduced chemically using Hydrazine Hydrate. The  structural  and  morphological  properties  of  prepared  Graphene oxide and reduced Graphene samples  were  characterized  by  the  means of scanning electron microscope (SEM), Fourier transform infrared  spectroscopy (FTIR), UV-visible spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy.
