Work Life Balance: An Act Of Balance

The emerging trend towards liberalized global policies in India coupled with suitable reform processes throughout the globe have drastically changed the business environment for the firms. Competition has increased which has created an era of survival of the fittest. As a result of which there have been changes in the demography of the workforce in each sector. There is an increase in the number of working women in the society. Organizations are more demanding which has created stress and pressure among the workforce. Change in the lifestyle and high self expectation also adds to the stress.
Today, technology not just makes your life easy and simple, but also brings a work-life balance. The demand for work-life-balance solutions by employees and managers is expanding at an unprecedented rate. As a result, work-life balance is an increasingly hot topic in boardrooms and government halls today. Over the coming decade it will be one of the most important issues that executives and human resource professionals will be expected to manage.
In the first half of the paper the researchers have focused on the changing composition of the organization, with reference to gender diversity. The lifestyle that the woman has to adopt because of the change in composition of the organization, the social life of the women has also changed.
In the later part the researchers have mentioned why work-life is a pivotal component in the success of an organization and its executive team. Also the researchers aim to depict the change in the social life of the women once the work life balance has been restored.
